HMI / Heinzen Two-Stage Jacuzzi-Style Produce Wash Line

HMI (Heinzen Manufacturing International) two-stage stainless-steel produce washing system designed for washing leafy greens, and lettuce. The line consists of one primary wash tank and one secondary wash tank, each equipped with dedicated water-recirculation pumps, integral bottom sand traps and an independent electrical control panel. Jacuzzi-style water circulation provides gentle product agitation while helping remove sand, soil and field debris.

The system includes product-transfer equipment between the wash stages and a final bi-directional discharge cross conveyor, allowing product to discharge in either direction to downstream processing equipment. Both electrical panels have been updated, and PLC/electrical schematics are available. The system is currently coming out of service at a major produce-processing facility.
